TTH Open Water Swim Squads

Tri Training Harder’s open water swimming sessions are designed to hone in on open water swimming skills and practices. These group sessions are about becoming effective and competitive open water swimmers or triathletes.

Swimmers need to have a can-do attitude and will be challenged by improving their fitness and technique, with an aim of improving their performance either for enjoyment or for open water and triathlon events.

The sessions format build around the culture and the environment for performance with a strong community feel too.

If you know your Critical Swimming Speed (CSS), then please come armed with that! That will help us ascertain groups. Though distances will be swum in these sessions, the focus isn’t to swim a long way, but instead, become very fast in the open water environment, so the focus is on the skills needed (which doesn't mean easy swimming!), so work will be in groups, drafting, using the conditions and the environment to maximise the training effect.

Swimmers must be comfortable in the open water – this is not an introduction to open water swimming, though there is a coach on hand – please look at booking a 1-2-1 session for that.
